Cooling Towers are devices that reject waste heat to the atmosphere via cooling of a working fluid, typically water. Open loop and closed loop systems cool the working fluid to the ambient wet-bulb or dry-bulb temperature, respectively. Common applications include cooling for hvac systems, refineries, chemical plants, thermal power stations, and nuclear power plants.
