About the Facility:
The Water Resources Division maintains approximately 267 miles of collection lines ranging in size from 6 inches to 48 inches in diameter. The sewage is conveyed by gravity to the Livermore Water Reclamation Plant. Approximately 4 to 7 million gallons per day (MGD) of treated wastewater is sent through the Livermore Amador Valley Water Management Agency (LAVWMA) pipeline for ultimate disposal by the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA) in San Francisco Bay. Up to 6.0 MGD of recycled water can be produced for landscape irrigation and fire protection applications.
